Recently one of our organizing committee members attended the Virginia International Tattoo in Norfolk, Virginia. This comunity has 75,000 military personnel in it and the production had a very military music flavor. Joining the military bands, pipe bands also had a strong presence and all backed up by an 800 voice choir. Check out some of the 2016 scenes on the Virginia Tattoo Facebook page that can be linked at www.vafest.org/tattoo-home. As well, we have made contact with the Nova Scotia Tattoo organizers. ThisTattoo is over the July 1st week-end, www.nstattoo.ca. The Okanagan Military Tattoo, the Virinia Tattoo and the Nova Scotia Tattoo all have the same sized stage, that of a Canadian Ice Hockey rink, 200′ by 85′. Our venue at Kal Tire Place is a nice cozy size with only 2500 seats available for each production which means there is not a bad seat in the house and spectators are right in with the musicians and dancers! Come join us in Vernon. Check out our web page and Facebook link at www.okanagantattoo.ca.
