The Okanagan Military Tattoo 2016, July 23 and 24, is now in the serious planning stage. Kal Tire Place is booked, the stage lights and a brand new sound system ordered, the organizing committee has been meeting for the last three months and is now on a weekly schedule and performers are starting to make commitments! The theme for this year, “West meets East”. And do we have an exciting line-up of talent—the interior pipe bands have commited, local dance groups are putting their teams together, local performers are gearing up and we are in serious and last minute negotiations with: the NADEN Navy band from Esquimalt; the Calgary Stampede Band of Outriders; a Taiko Drumming Group, Djembe Drummers; Highland Dancers, Ballywood Dancers; the British Columbia Dragoons; a Cadet Drill Team and many more. We may even have a chance at an international performing group. Stay tuned!!
