Norm Crerar, our Producer and Director, met with Hugh Peden February 27th near Langley, BC. Hugh is the Pipe Major of the prestigious RCMP Pipe Band and will be the Senior Pipe Major for the Massed Pipe Bands at the Okanagan Military Tattoo 2014. The Tattoo program was blocked out and most of the music for the Massed Bands listed. Subsequent to this get-together, the music has been e-mailed to the Massed Band Pipe Majors for their consideration and comments as well as putting into their band’s practice schedules. The final touches to the program and the movements of the bands is being worked on and refined.
We have been notified that the Royal Canadian Artillery Band (Edmonton) will be performing at our Tattoo. This is indeed good news as the RCA Band is the oldest Military Band in Canada and we could not be more please to have them join the RCMP Pipe Band, the Calgary Stampede Band of Outriders, the massed pipe bands, the BC Regimental Band, our Tattoo Band and 100 voice Tattoo Choir as well as all of our dancers, First Responders and precision demo team members.
